![]() I learned a long time ago that mids are important if you want to be heard.I like mids though and the Thrasher has more than enough tight bottom end for my applications.also awesome clarity and warmth with my OD boost.I keep the depth knob about half and the bass and low gain (bass gain) less than half. I'm not saying the Thrasher sounds like an SLO but amps that don't emphasize low end and are have strong mids can sound e Splawn Quickrod BTW for strong mids. If someone were to try an SLO for example you would hear alot of mids but not a ton of bass.people generally like that amp. The Randall Ola Englund Satan 120W all-tube head was designed by legendary tone-maker Mike Fortin to accommodate Englund's spine-crushing high-gain sound requirements while not losing clarity when playing well below standard E tuning. Bottom end in recording and live situations is not as important as the guitar projects in the pocket better with strong mids to begin with. Some guitarists fail to recognize that guitar is a midrange instrument first and foremost. These amps have powerful mids which I guess can be perceived to lack bottom end. ![]()
